Is God Male or Female? A Pantheistic Approach

December 3, 2018 By Raktim Dutta Leave a Comment

Redefining the God Gender

To quench your spiritual thirst, the plain & simple answer is:

God is neither male nor female. God is genderless.

But it doesn’t mean that the male and female aspects are non-existent in the divine realm.

God is actually a macrocosmic manifestation of these two aspects of super consciousness.

Whereas the male aspect is known as Shiva (or Purusha or Krishna etc.) and the female aspect is known as Adi Shakti (or Adi Parashakti or simply Shakti etc.) and both of this two consciousness together called Parabrahman (or simply Brahman).

The Brahman is void, static, imperceivable, non-dual, and is the ultimate reality. But it is still infinitely powerful and can create all forms of manifestation (such as Vacuum Space, our Nature, the Force Fields, the Elementary Particles, etc.).

For creation, the Brahman detaches itself to create the duality. And the Prusha or Shiva or Paramashiva gets in contact with Shakti or Paramashakti to empower the creation process. And then Shakti creates the whole universe for material manifestation.

You can think of the vacuum space as a cosmic womb that is ever pregnant and creates multiple universes. The creation process will keep going on until the Purusha disempowers Shakti from the process of creation.

Upon disempowerment of Shakti from the creation process, the whole universe (possibly Multiverse) will cease to exist and God returns to its absolute reality, the Parasamvit. Which is static and macrocosmic.

Note: The term Parasamvit means ultimate or supreme consciousness. “Para” means Ultimate and “Samvit” means Consciousness.

Meaning the male or female aspect alone cannot create & cease the universe.

That’s why Shiva is incomplete without Shakti or Parvati, Vishnu or Narayana is incomplete without Laxmi, etc.

As per the title of this article…

If you take the Pantheistic approach, it gets far easier to understand the Concept of God rather than believing the God concept as a person.

Lemme dive deep into the Concept of God:

God is Not a Person, It’s an Energetic Compulsion Between Two Opposite Polarities

In Hinduism, God often appears in the human form whether it’s male or female.

If God is appearing in female form, he or she is manifesting or giving a metaphor of the Divine Feminine Principle. And if he is appearing in male form, he is manifesting or giving a metaphor of the Divine Masculine-Principle.

Now the most significant thing you need to understand is that you should not discriminate against the Divine masculine & feminine principle form the perspective of the reproductive organs.

He is giving just a metaphor, he is not giving you the absolute truth that lies deep within the divine energetic field. But he is definitely giving you enough resources (all the living & non-living things around you) to understand the God principle using your own intuition.

To create a new living thing, whether it’s an Animal or a Human being…

The male energy must penetrate the female energy to create a new life form. This way you are already getting a glimpse of the creation process of the entire universe.

So… two opposite polarities must meet to create something new.

Now, let me dive even deeper:

If you ignore the reproductive organs of male & female, there’s only a reactionary play or dance between two penetrative micro-organisms in the quantum field.

It’s all about energy…

It’s not about the dichotomy of two opposite genders. You are engulfed by energy fields and some more energy fields which are gender-specific and they cause the magnetic attraction between these opposite genders.

From the Biological perspective, when a sperm cell penetrates an Egg it empowers the Egg to create a Zygote, Which is neither male nor female. And it’s a great glimpse of the genderless form of energy when Purusha & Shakti merge themselves together to return to its original genderless form.

Now the term “Energetic Compulsion” has come to conclude that the two opposite polarities are confined by the laws of nature to pull each other.

Think of it as the north and south poles of a piece of magnet. The south pole will be pulled by the north pole and the north will be pulled by the south pole.

The same thing applies to the act of penetration between a sperm cell and an Egg. The sperm cell will try to penetrate the Egg without any prior intelligence.

Intelligence is not needed since it is an energetic compulsion of nature. It is pre-programmed by God, no one can control it. He is creating this principle of compulsion to give you the metaphor of the Divine Masculine and Feminine realities of the Parabrahman, which is inextricable.

Apart from these scientific postulations…

Here’s what Shiva Linga Speaks:

Shiva Lingam

A Shiva Linga is not only about Lord Shiva, but it’s also about Adi Parashakti.

There Shiva Linga is resting on the Yoni (Vulva) of Shakti. Making it a complete union of the Infinite Divine Energy. Both Male & Female signifying a genderless state of God.

But here you have to make note that, in Shiva Linga the Phallus (erected penis) sitting on the Yoni is only interpreting the two energy fields which are responsible for all the manifestations throughout the universe. This is the only way to keep it within a human intellect.

If you follow the above metaphorical examples, it doesn’t mean that you’ll be able to understand the concept of God in the most accurate way. God will always be imperceivable within a human intellect. God is sending you or you are being born here (in fact you are a god) to demystify the purpose of life.

You already subconsciously know that you are God as well as the truth of the ultimate reality. You have to live here and keep reincarnating again & again until you consciously realize that you are God (commonly known as Enlightenment or Self-Realization) through deep Meditation.

While you meditate your mind almost stops working and your cosmic or divine mind (pure consciousness) starts working. The intelligence of your Divine Mind (or the mind of God) is infinite and the only thing that can fathom out the existence of God.

It’s Time to Conceptualize God by Yourself

God is imperceivable, eternal and it’s definitely beyond human intellect.

God can only be understood from the inside, not from the outside. The more you’ll try to understand God from the outside the more you’ll get disturbed by the external realities around yourself.

So make your carnal mind a submissive object by using your Divine Mind if you really want to understand what the Concept of God is all about.
